Obec Jezdkovice

Obecní úřad Jezdkovice.
Jezdkovice lies on an area of 360 ha, about 12 km from Opava. Currently, 228 people live here. The village was first mentioned as part of the monastery farm Stěbořice in 1250 with the name Jeskendorf. It is a neat picturesque village, which in the mid-13th century belonged to the vast goods of the Cistercian monastery in Velehrad.
One of the most important rulers was the Mitrovský of Nemyšl. They had a late Renaissance chateau with an ornamental garden built between 1618 and 1619. The chateau was then rebuilt in the Baroque style from 1723 to 1752. The first records of the local school date back to 1783. It is important for the village and the chapel dedicated to Christ the King, built in 1927.
In Jezdkovice, where the light was first lit on May 13, 1936, agriculture has always dominated.
The cooperative, which in 1952 was transformed into a collective farm, was founded in the first postwar year.
In the first half of the 1970s a fire station was built in the village and a kindergarten class was established.
In 1976 there was a merger with the center village Stěbořice. Jezdkovice was under its administration until January 1, 1993, when, following a popular vote in 1992, they became independent again.
In 1998 the village was completely gasified and a year later the construction of the water supply began.
The oldest association in Jezdkovice is the Volunteer Fire Brigade, which was founded in 1895. Jezdkovice fire brigades are involved in various competitions and are also organizers of a number of generally cultural social events.
These include, for example, a meeting of natives, which is held in the village every ten years. There is also an organization in the village
BRĎO, which deals with leisure activities of children.
The company producing bicycles also has a significant position in Jezdkovice in recent years.
