Obecni urad Hradec - Nova Ves.
The village of Hradec - Nová Ves - is situated approximately 12 km from the town of Jeseník, which is the political and economic center of the Jeseník region. The first mention of the village of Hradec is from 1351. The name is derived from the Polish grodzič - hraditi, although it first appears as a personal name. The Czech name fully captures the meaning of the original name. Both the name and the remains of the fortification prove that there was a small fortified settlement.
The village of Nová Ves was founded in 1685 by the division of one of the Mikulovice courts, which was called the Cold. The court was economically unprofitable, therefore the Episcopal Administration instructed it to be divided. After 1848, both municipalities were administratively connected. The German population lived here. Since 1976, the village became part of Mikulovice until 1990, when they again became independent as a whole Hradec-Nová Ves.
