The village of Libina
Libina with its parts of the village Horní Libina, Dolní Libina and Obědné is the lowest and at the same time the largest village in the Šumperk region. The village is 8 km long, stretches through a shallow depression at the foot of the Jeseníky Mountains and in the lower part passes into the Upper Moravian gorge. The surroundings of the village abound in rich natural beauty. Libina dates back to 1348. There are 10 listed and church buildings in the village, the most important of which is the parish church of St. Jiří, a sculpture of Calvary with a railing from 1767, the newly reconstructed Langer's villa from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, the tomb of the factory owner Langer.
The square is newly reconstructed in the village as part of the Revitalization of Public Spaces project, for which it received a subsidy from the European Regional Development Fund. At present, Libina has 3, 500 inhabitants.
