The town of Šumperk

The city is the administrative, political and economic center of northwest Moravia. The city lies at 50 ° N and 17 ° East. The town of Šumperk is one of the gateways to the Jeseníky Mountains, which is divided into Hrubý and Nízký Jeseník. Šumperk is rightly referred to as the “Gate of the Jeseníky Mountains” because it lies at the crossroads of the roads leading to the most important mountain starting bases - Goblin, Červenohorský saddle, Ramzová and at the foot of the Kralický Sněžník massif.

The European Meeting House is of regional and international significance and the German side also participated in the reconstruction. The interests of the youngest generation are taken care of by the House of Children and Youth at the Town Hall, the Community Center for Human Resources Development ("Komín") operating under the House of Children and Youth and the facility for further education of pedagogical staff Vila Doris Šumperk
