Rovensko has a name after the noun plain. The municipal seal of Rovenska shows a crayfish. The cadastral area of Rovenska with an area of 750 hectares corresponds only partially with the name of the village, because in its plane lies only its eastern part, while in the west the terrain already descends into the hills of the Zábřežská (Drozdovská) Highlands. The mean altitude is 298 m. The village itself is situated along the stream in the west-east direction north of Zábřeh. The road from Zábřeh to Postřelmůvk in the village is intersected by another road connection from Postřelmov to Svébohov.
Since its foundation in 1373, Rovensko has been a part of the faeral estate of Zábřeh. After the extinction of the Šternberk family, the owners of Zábřeh and Ruda n. Mor., There is a year of Tunkl who founded a number of ponds in the Morava River basin, the largest of which was Závořiský. After 1848, Rovensko was included in the judicial and political district of Zábřeh. At the end of the 15th century there was a manor house.
In the list of protected monuments were entered two farms in Rovensko, which represent the Empire-influenced folk buildings from around the mid-19th century. The local chapel was built in 1856. Atypical triangular wayside shrine by the road to Postřelmůvk date from the first half of the 19th century.
