The village of Maletín.
The village is situated on the southeastern foothills of the coarse Jeseník in the Mohelnice furrow and Zábřeh Highlands. It consists of the settlements Javoří, Starý Maletín and Nový Maletín. Surrounding the village is hilly and wooded, inviting for recreation, with a rich presence of mushrooms, blueberries, raspberries, also game, especially fallow deer, mouflon, there is also a sika deer. It is also suitable for fishing. Trips can be made to the dams of Svojanov and Old Maletin, Bouzov Castle, Usov chateau, both on numerous marked hiking trails and cycle paths. There is a starting point of the cycle route.
The beginnings of the village of Maletín are associated with mining related to sandstone mining and date back to the 14th century, when the village was first mentioned in 1317 as the marriage of the Olomouc bishops in the Mohelnice district. Towards the end of this century it fell to Mírov Castle. Monuments of the village are the church. Nicholas, Calvary, statue of st. John of Nepomuk, Marian Column and Javoří small bell tower and sandstone cross. The local sandstone is a plague column of the Holy Trinity in Olomouc, a UNESCO monument. On the cadastre of the village stands a 2 MW wind power plant. Annual traditional events: May felling, Children's fishing competition, Hunting day with tasting hunting specialties and trophy exhibition.
