Obec Daskabat

Daskabát village is situated along the road from Olomouc to Lipník nad Bečvou, on the last slopes of the Oder Hills in the district of Olomouc, Olomouc region. The village has 599 inhabitants.
On the site of today's Daskabát stood the village of Otěhřiby, which belonged to the Olomouc bishopric. The first mention of it is from 1232, in 1841 it was preserved only the magistrate and the court. In the 16th century this defunct village was replanted, called
first Nová Ves / 1568 /, shortly after
/ 1581 / already Daskabat. The last owner of the village was the Olomouc Chapter. Until 1882, the village of Daskabat was Kocourovec, which from that year became part of Přáslavice and moved to the Olomouc district.
Daskabát belonged to the judicial district of Lipník nad Bečvou until 1949, after which it became part of the Olomouc district. The elementary school was opened in 1883, abolished
The school was reopened in September 1990.
