Obecní úřad Dřevnovice.

Dřevnovice village is located in the southwest of the district of Prostejov, at the confluence of the river Haná and Pačlavský stream.

The first written records are from 1365, but the village was founded around 1205. A certain source states that in 1329 there was a wooden fortress, which proves that the likely establishment of the village will probably in II. mid 13th century.

The name comes from the old Czech name Řevna. This gave rise to Řevnovice and after the language modifications of Dřevnovice.

In the 16th century there were 24 houses, in 1793 there were 75 houses and 571 inhabitants, in 1834 62 houses and 398 inhabitants, in 1900 80 houses and 443 inhabitants, in 1921 96 houses and 553 inhabitants, in 1930 124 houses and 660 inhabitants, in 1950 152 houses and 569 inhabitants, in 1996 176 houses and 491 inhabitants.

Cultural monuments - registered only "wayside shrine" (half of the 19th century), then a cross at the mill from 1857 and the village square from 1880. Choler cemetery from 1831.

School - two-class founded in 1883 and had 63 pupils. In 1996 only kindergarten and 25 children.
