c. 187, Brodek u Konice 798 46
Brodek u Konice municipal office.
Brodek u Konica is the highest village in Konica. It lies at an altitude of 613 m with the highest peak, Babylon, reaching a height of 676 m. The name Brodek is a diminutive of the word ford – there used to be a swamp in these places.

The first written mention of Brodek is in the Olomouc póhony from 1575. At that time, lords Matyáš Frydrych and Kryštof Laškovský from Švábenice and on Raková sold Brodek, Dešna and Lhota to Kašpar, the abbot of the Premonstratensian monastery in Hradisht. Since the Monastery was in debt, the new owner sold these villages the very next year to Hanuš Haugvic from Biskupice, Račice and na Chropyna, the regional governor of Moravia. Later, Brodek belonged to the estates of Konick and Šebetovsk.

Dešná was an independent municipality until the 1950s, now it is part of Brodek. It appears in written documents as early as 1353 under the name Destna. The name of the village changed over the years until 1872, when it got its current form. The village reached its peak in 1890, when it had 121 houses and 758 inhabitants.
