spatial demands of the village and in 1868
it was replaced by a new temple, taken
at the expense of Mayor David Kuffner.
In 1888 its important Viennese
architect Max Fleischer renovated
in neo-Romanesque style using
Moorish elements in the interior.
The space of the hall at the top closes flat
beamed ceiling with impressive painting.
The synagogue served only for half a century
for storage purposes.
In the years 1997-1999 it went through the overall
reconstruction and is now used to
cultural and social purposes.
In addition to the installation of permanent museums
expositions from the history of the local Jewish community
and the town of Břeclav also serves as a gallery
fine arts, concert hall and
venue for various events.
