Obec Hevlin


The village of Hevlín is located in the Znojmo district in the South Moravian Region.

The river Dyje flows south of the village and brick clay is mined here. The first written mention of Hevlín dates from 1282. At present, 1424 inhabitants live here.

In the village there is a primary and kindergarten, post office, catering and accommodation facilities as well as grocery stores. We will also find a general practitioner's office here.

The cross-border information center building is located on the square. Provides tourist information in Czech and German. He also copies and prints documents. There is a public internet of the municipality, public internet of the South Moravian Region and the Cycling Portal of the South Moravian Region. For sale there are tourist stamps, tourist business cards, stickers, magnets, maps for cyclists. Tourists can now use the charging station for e-bikes.

The oldest and therefore also the most valuable monument in the village is the Romanesque column, which once served as a sign for the ford across the river Dyje. Another is the statue of St. Rochus, which was built after the year of cholera, in 1832 and the statue of St. Virgin Mary.

Another important monument is the Passion on the right side of the road to Dyjákovice.
