The village of Horní Paseka is located in the Vysočina Region near the town of Ledeč nad Sázavou.
An independent village was established in 1990. The first written mention of the village dates from 1265. Currently, 70 inhabitants live in the village. Of which 18 permanently inhabited houses, 24 cottages, 52 cottages.
The village lies at an altitude of 596 m above sea level.
The cadastral area is 934.98 ha.
There is a monument in the village - Křižná studánka pod Šafranicí u Zahrádky.
