The town of Ronov nad Doubravou is located at the foot of the Iron Mountains in the district of Chrudim in the Pardubice Region. The river Doubrava flows through the town and has about 1, 700 inhabitants.
The first written mention of the village dates from 1307. Most of Ron's monuments are located on a square that has the shape of a rectangle measuring 120 × 100 m and in the center of the square you will also find a single-nave pseudo-baroque church, which was built in 1849-1852 on the site of an older church. built before 1358. Mixed masonry was used for its construction: stone and bricks. On the ceiling of the church are frescoes painted by Jaroslav Major, a member of the Benedictine Order in Emmaus.
