The town of Chroustovice
The first historical mention of the existence of Chroustovice was in 1349. There was already a parish church, belonging to the diocese of Litomyšl.
The school has probably been in Chroustovice since 1623, but the first records of "cantors" date from 1655. In 1926, a new building was built - a two-storey Masaryk school, which is attended by about 300 pupils.
Originally a Renaissance chateau from the 16th century, it underwent a Baroque and Rococo design, and after a fire in the 19th century, it acquired a pseudo-Baroque appearance.
