Chvojenec village
The village of Chvojenec is located approximately on the twelfth kilometer of the main road from Hradec Králové to Brno.
Chvojenec is considered one of the oldest settlements in the local landscape. The original name of the village is "Chvojence Nízké", the later renaming to Chvojnec comes from cleared trees.
The center of the village was the fortress, located next to the road called coronation. In those places, only the fortress mound and ramparts with the surrounding ditches are visible today.
