The village of Lodín is located in the Hradec Králové region, 17 km from the city of Hradec Králové. Lodín is located at an altitude of 254 m above sea level and covers an area of 771 ha. The first written mention of the village dates from 1073 and its name is derived from the personal name Lóda. The last owners were the Harrachs. Today Lodin has 385 inhabitants. The village also includes the settlement of Janatov.
