Holohlavy is located 12 km from Hradec Králové and 6 km from Jaroměř. The village is crossed by a 1st class road, marked with a number. I/33. The connection is provided by bus and rail transport. The bus stop is right in the village, and the railway stop is in the nearby town of Smiřice, about 0.5 km from the village. In the village there is a police station of the Czech Republic, a kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade Z, Konzum, a restaurant, a public catering kitchen, a reconstructed fire station and a tennis court.
