Třebechovice pod Orebem was founded along the trade route in the first half of the 14th century. Oreb Hill (260 m) with the Church of Corpus Christi resembles a memorable Hussite brotherhood. The town is located just 13 km east of Hradec Kralove and thanks to its surroundings with beautiful forests and charming corners of the river Orlice has become a popular excursion place.
All over the world, however, Třebechovice is famous for the Museum of Cribs. The so-called Probošt's Nativity Scene, which became a magnet of the Czechoslovak exposition at the World Exhibition in Montreal in 1967, is unique and best known.
