Diakonie Broumov, a social cooperative for over 28 years, provides help to people in social need.
The mission of Diakonia Broumov is to help people who, for some reason, find themselves in a crisis situation or on the fringes of society, for example by providing accommodation services or their work or social integration. The goal is for these people to be able to take care of themselves and find their place in society again. The activities of the social cooperative and the services provided are nationwide, so we cooperate with all people of good will, other humanitarian organizations, churches and other institutions.
Only with your constant help are we able to provide material assistance to all who need it. We will continue to help people in need in the form of material assistance, housing for the needy and offering job opportunities for people at a disadvantage in the labor market.
At the same time, the entire area of collection of used clothing and other small items from households significantly affects the environment as a prevention of waste generation. Diakonie Broumov can sort, use or process all collection of textile material, including collection from containers. It built its own sorting plant and also its own plant for processing textiles that are no longer suitable for wearing or somehow damaged on cleaning cloths. It will use about 70% of the material that would otherwise end up in landfills.
