The beautiful village of Prysk can be found north of Kamenické Šenov in the Lužické Mountains at an altitude of 468 m. It covers 1365 ha in the Liberec Region and consists of three parts - Horní Prysk, Dolní Prysk and Vesnička. Approximately 440 inhabitants live in it. The first written mention of the village is from 1382.
Important monuments include the church of St. Peter and Paul and other historic residential buildings. In Prysk, the culture of the rich reigns
and social life. Every summer in the village there is a summer band of cultural events called "Summer with Pryskem", which is organized in cooperation with other municipal associations and the Association for the Rescue of the Church of St. Peter and Paul. These are mainly concerts, exhibitions, theater performances, performances and entertainment that take place in the church of St. Peter and Paul and in the newly reconstructed hall at the municipal office or in the open air.
The beautiful nature of the Lusatian Mountains and the nearby Czech-Saxon Switzerland offers excellent conditions for active recreation enthusiasts. Nearby you can visit the ruins of the castle Pustý zámek and Břidličný vrch. Many species of bats hibernate in the inaccessible Riedl Cave. In 2016, the village was ranked 2nd in the Czech Republic and 1st in the Liberec Region in the Village of the Year competition.
The municipal office is available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 13:00 to 16:00.
