The village of Bynovec is located northeast of Děčín in the valley of the Bynovecký stream.

The entire territory of the village falls within the PLA Labské pískovce, CHOPAV Severočeská křida, and to the east of the village is the Čabel nature reserve.

The first written mention of the village dates from 1543. However, the establishment of the village probably dates back to the 13th century.

Bynovec currently has 335 permanent residents.

Among the cultural monuments are the Passion of God, the Statue of the Virgin Mary, the Statue of St. John at the forest and also stone crosses.

There are also three water reservoirs in the village.
