The village of Staňkovice is located in the district of Louny. Associated parts of our village are the villages Tvršice, Selibice and Industrial zone Triangle.
The first written mention dates from 1225. The dominant feature of the village is the Baroque church of St. Wenceslas. This originally Gothic building underwent modifications during the 18th century and received a Baroque appearance. The Bílá skála natural monument is located 500 m northwest of our village and this area is managed by the Nature and Landscape Protection Agency of the Czech Republic. Rare species of thermophilic insects occur here, several rare species of beetles, weevils, mandelins, ground beetles and woodpeckers have been found here. This protected area is accessible to the public by a field road that leads from Staňkovice.

The late Baroque chateau is located one kilometer northeast of Staňkovice and dates from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. It consists of a central one-storey rectangular building, farm buildings with enclosure walls and orchards. In the immediate vicinity of the chateau there is a stronghold after the defunct Chmelice fortress. Staňkovice Castle and the fortress are protected as cultural monuments of the Czech Republic.
