Obec Smilovice

The small village of Smilovice in the district of Rakovník in the Central Bohemia region
it lies 355 m above sea level and covers an area of 1.68 km 2. It is home to around 70 inhabitants.

The oldest building in the village is the former medieval court in Staré Smilovice. The first mention of it is from the second half of the 14th century.
The second oldest building, which has almost disappeared, is a mill from the 1630s. The third oldest building was a wooden cottage from 1758, which no longer exists.

The association of volunteer firefighters was founded here in 1887. Now it organizes social, cultural and sports events.

The municipal office operates office hours only one day a week, on Mondays between 18:00 and 20:00.
