The town of Milevsko is located in the Písek district, in the South Bohemian Region. Milevsko boasts a beautiful surrounding landscape, a number of historical monuments and other attractions. From the preserved archaeological finds we assume that the area of today's city was inhabited in the Early Stone Age, in the Early Bronze Age, Hallstatt and La Tene period. The first written record of Milevsko dates back to 1184.
