The town of Strmilov is located in the district of Jindřichův Hradec, in a recreation area at the foot of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. Strmilov can be found in a region full of ponds and forests, which in the summer season invite for swimming, fishing and mushroom picking. There are many sights and attractions in and around the city that can be reached on foot or by bike. Many cycling paths pass through the town, and the Komorník pond is attractive and sought-after for tourists.
