Hostka 75, Hostka 348 06
The village of Hošťka is located in the district of Tachov, in a quiet and picturesque environment of the Bohemian Forest. The village consists of two parts, Hošťka and Žebráky. Part of the village is also the cadastral territory of the defunct village Pořejov. The village is surrounded by forests and meadows, away from heavy traffic to the border crossing Rozvadov.
The first mention of our village is from 1482 as Hosskowo. The village belonged to the most populous localities of the Primdské Chody. In the middle of the 16th century. the inhabitants of Hošťka guarded the border section to the Vranča pond. Until 1613, there was an imperial customs house in Hošťka. In 1621, there were fierce battles between the imperial troops and the Swedes in the immediate vicinity. In 1887, a fire broke out in the village, which burned down 55 homesteads.
