The primary and kindergarten school in Brno on Merhautova Street offers education to all children of pre-school and school age. As part of pre-school education, we also offer the opportunity to attend a preparatory primary school class, which is mainly intended for children from a culturally different environment before the start of compulsory schooling, for whom it is assumed that inclusion in this class will balance their development.
The school also operates the School Counseling Center ZŠ and Kindergarten Brno, Merhautova 37, which was created thanks to the project "Inclusive education of pupils in schools in "fallout" socially excluded localities - in the so-called Roma" and continues its activities thanks to the project "Education of pedagogues in the field of social pedagogy and multicultural education with the aim of preventing racism and xenophobia and creating methodologies for working with children and pupils with special educational needs in these areas at elementary and kindergarten".
It provides advisory and consulting services to pupils, their legal representatives and teachers.
Within the elementary school, children can also attend various clubs, such as English through play for 1st grade, AJ conversation for 2nd grade, Science through play, Hejného math clubs, Reading club and Physics experiments.
Our kindergarten operates three workplaces, namely on Merhautova Street, Sýpka Street and Vranovská Street.
Merhautova Kindergarten closely cooperates with the elementary school - Kindergarten classes are located in the common elementary school building (sample lessons in 1st grades, "Educationally stimulating groups" with 1st grade teachers).
Sýpka Kindergarten is focused on music education - a class with active music teaching. During their schooling, children gradually become familiar with different musical styles and instruments.
Vranovská Kindergarten focuses on multicultural and ethical education. Organization of preschool education according to the alternative program START TOGETHER - close cooperation with parents.
The school also has a school group that can be attended by children in the first grade. As part of the school club, it is also possible to attend clubs (sports, ceramics, board games, table tennis, small kitchen, etc.).
