Říčany is an ancient village. The first mention of Říčany comes from the year 1237, when the three brothers Karel, Beneš and Ladislav from Říčany are listed as witnesses on a document which Wenceslas I resigned to the Brno Church of St. Petra some villages. The Říčanský family was extraordinarily branched not only in Moravia but also in Bohemia. The families could be safely distinguished by their coat of arms, the Moravian family had two beards (war axes) folded in a cross.

The seat of the lords of Říčany and other owners was a fortress on a rocky promontory behind the village, where it is still called "Na Zámečku", on the maps the place is marked as Hradisko. The place where the fortress once stood is now wooded and you can still see the moat through which the hill is surrounded. The place is also associated with haunting legends (chapter only) On the oldest map of Moravia from 1575 and on the map of Comenius from 1633, Říčany is marked as a place with a fortress. In the years 1539, 1540, 1552 it is called desolate, in 1560 it was rebuilt. In time, Říčany ceased to be an independent estate and was annexed to Veveří Castle. In the later period, the manor house stood in the present center of the village "in the courtyard", in 1671 it is referred to as a knight's seat. At the end of the sixteenth century, thanks to his marriage, Říčany acquired the Tiefenbach family and Říčany came from the long-term possession of domestic noble families and became the property of lords of foreign origin. .- eg Collalt, Sinzerdorf, Mundy, Gustav Prince of Wasa, grandson of King Gustav III of Sweden, and others. The estate was not for the benefit, because the owners did not stay on it and the estate was managed by officials.
