UNION OF CZECH AND MORAVIAN PRODUCTION COOPERATIVES.
Production cooperatives have a more than 100-year tradition in the Czech Republic, and as representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, they still maintain an important position in the Czech economy. The basic subject of activity is the production and sale of a wide range of consumer goods, construction elements, machines and tools, necessities for farmers, semi-finished products, provision of services and construction works.
Operability, innovation potential and adaptability to market conditions are typical for them.
The Union of Czech and Moravian Production Cooperatives is an interest association of legal entities. Membership in the association is voluntary and currently its membership consists of almost 220 production cooperatives.
The subject of the union's activity is:
- representing cooperatives in promoting and protecting their common interests
- providing information, advisory, consulting and mediation services for the business purposes of member cooperatives and ensuring their other common needs
- establishment and management of special purpose funds created from the resources of cooperatives and the union
- unification of the activities of cooperatives in the social field and support for solving the problems of cooperatives of the disabled
- assistance to cooperatives in providing professional education
- economic activity to the extent necessary for the fulfillment of tasks arising from the subject of the association's activities.
