The Union of Industrial Mills of the Czech Republic (hereinafter referred to as the Union) is an independent, non-political, voluntary association of entrepreneurs (natural and legal persons) in the milling field, related fields, equipment manufacturers and service organizations.
Since November 1990, it has been a professional organization of mill enterprises and dough factories with an industrial character of production, regardless of the size of the capacities. It defends the interests of its members in dealings with state authorities, non-governmental organizations and in the creation of legislation. It provides, or mediates, professional, legislative, marketing services and professional training. Promotes the field to the public.
The association is a decisive processor of grain for human nutrition in the Czech Republic, a producer of mill products and pasta.
It strives for the permanent growth of the technical level of production among its members and the professional level of their workers. It is a direct organizer of professional education and retraining. It publishes and maintains the Rules of Manufacturing and Hygienic Practice for Mills and Dough Mills and corporate standards for mill products.
