PP, a.s., is one of the most important energy companies in the Czech Republic. It is the traditional and largest supplier of natural gas in the territory of the capital city of Prague and its surroundings; since 2012, it has been supplying natural gas together with electricity throughout the Czech Republic. Modern ways of using natural gas:
The use of natural gas contributes significantly to improving the environment. Pražská plynárenská, a. S., Relies not only on its excellent ecological properties, but also puts into practice the latest technologies in the field of natural gas utilization.

In addition to the currently most widespread forms of using natural gas for heating, cooking and hot water heating, there are other ways of using it.

They are, for example:
- joint production of electricity, heat or cold in so-called cogeneration (trigeneration) units,
- use of gas for technological purposes (bakeries, brickyards) or use of compressed natural gas (CNG) as a fuel in transport.

Car traffic is currently one of the biggest polluters of the environment and the wider use of natural gas can help change this situation.
