Obec Dehtare

cp. 4, Dehtare 393 01
The village of Dehtáře is located in the district of Pelhřimov in the Vysočina Region.

The first written mention of the village dates back to 1379. Currently, Dehtáře has 109 inhabitants and covers an area of 795 hectares.

The village also includes parts of Milotice, Onšovice and Vadčice.

The western and northern borders of the cadastres are formed by the river Želivka with the Sedlice reservoir and the tributary Jankovský potok, which is a national natural monument.

The most important cultural monuments here are the chapel of St. Wenceslas from 1861 in Onšovice and a chapel in Milotice from the mid-19th century, which is currently privately owned.

The village of Dehtář ranks among the smallest in terms of population. It is more busy here in the summer months, when the holiday cottages and especially the relatively large cottage area in the Milotic cadastre come to life.
