The village of Kovčín can be found in the Plzeň Region, about thirty kilometers east of the district town of Klarovy, between the towns of Nepomuk and Horažďovice. The dominant feature of the village is a circular village square with a chapel, which is dedicated to St. Jan Nepomucký. To the east of the village behind the railway station is a large Kovčín pond with an area of 120 ha. Kovčín currently has 81 inhabitants.

Currently, the project of public water supply is completed, in the near future the project for public sewerage for our and the neighboring municipality will be completed, the project for the construction of a pond for water retention will be completed in a short time.
A project for local roads and forest roads will be implemented in the near future. There is a large tungsten deposit around the village.
