The village of Kořenice is located in the district of Kolín, about 8 km southwest of Kolín. The municipalities of Chotouchov and Pučery are part of the municipality of Kořenice.
In the village of Kořenice, there is a municipal office, a shop and an inn. There is a chapel and monuments in the middle of the village, beautiful old linden trees grow in their neighborhood. There is a fire tank near the football field. The dominant feature of the village, visible in the distance, is the water tank for the local water supply.
The biggest attraction of the village of Chotouchov is the chapel, which is located in the middle of the village and is nicely repaired and maintained. There is also a fire station with a library and a municipal pond used for sport fishing.
The pride of the village of Pučery and the most beautiful place is its center, regularly planted with bushes and lined with coniferous and deciduous trees. In the village there is a monument to the fallen from the world wars. There is also a fire station with a bell tower.
A pleasant walk is offered along the Chotouchovské stream to Kořenice, Ratboř, Pašinka and through the Polepské údolí to Kolín.
