The town of Příbor is one of the oldest towns in northeastern Moravia. It is located on both banks of the Lubina River in the Nový Jičín district. The town is lined on three sides by the beautiful scenery of the Beskydy foothills with a view of the Štramberk trumpet, Hukvaldy and Radhošt. Cutlery was Frank of Hückeswagen in 1251 as a settlement with city law. The first written mention of the city is in the deed of Margrave Přemysl - later King Přemysl Otakar II. From December 12, 1251. At present, the city has over 8, 000 inhabitants.

Cutlery is the birthplace and place of work of important personalities who made it famous. He lived here with his mother and attended the parish school of St. Jan Sarkander. He studied at the lower grammar school and then worked for eleven years as a chaplain of the later Archbishop Antonín Cyril Stojan. The historian, founder of the Moravian topography Řehoř Wolný, philosopher and national awakener Bonifác Buzek, founder of psychoanalysis, honorary citizen of the town of Příbor Dr. Sigmund Freud, academic sculptor František Juraň, writer Josef Kresta and others.
