Ropice lies in the valley of the Ropičanka River, which later flows into the Olše. The main railway line Bohumín-Jablunkov-Žilina and the regional line from Frýdek-Místek to Těšín pass through the village and both have a stop in the village. The location of the village between the towns of Český Těšín in the north and Třinec in the southeast contributed to shaping its current appearance and functions, although the original village of Ropice was established several centuries earlier than Třinec. Contemporary Ropice does not offer visitors
only architectural monuments, but especially opportunities for active leisure. A cycle path passes through the village.

enjoyment, proximity to urban settlements and good transport accessibility offer convenient opportunities for individual family construction.
