The tradition of the Kladno Sports Grammar School dates back to 1984, when it started operating under the original name "Sports School".
The only sport the school provided at the time was athletics. Over time, the number of tribal sports has grown to five: athletics, swimming, judo, ice hockey and volleyball. From this point of view, the Kladno Sports Gymnasium is the only similar educational institution in the Central Bohemian Region.
In addition to the field of sports training, the school also provides education in general studies (four-year and eight-year).
This school year, over 600 students attend the school, of which over 110 in the field of sports training.
