Bruzovice village is located on the route from Frýdek-Místek to Havířov. It was founded at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries during colonization.
The first written record dates back to around 1305. The founder and first feudal owner of the settlement was the nobleman Ondřej Brus, the courtier of the first Duke of Těšín from Těšín. This feudal gave the village a name. New brick church Sv. Stanislav was built under Francis Eusebius of Oppensdorf in 1677. It is surrounded by Baroque statues.
The first mention of the school dates from the mid-17th century.
The brick building was built by Rector Ludwig Schwehelk in 1844. Children from Kaňovice, Pazderna, Žermanice used to go to Bruzovice.
Before the end of the first half of the 19th century had 245 pupils.
In the 19th century, iron ore was mined for the Karlova hut in Lískovec. At that time there was also a quarry for limestone in the village.
Transport links are bus to Havirov, Ostrava and Frydek-Mistek.
