PETŘVALD CITY OFFICE.
The mining town of Petřvald is part of the Karviná district, which is located in the Silesian part of North Moravia. The town and the entire district of Karviná are given a specific character by the deep coal mining that has already been completed. Its layers, 160-800 m thick, are deposited under Quaternary and Tertiary overburdens.
On the territory of the city is the church of St. Jindřich with 14 chapels of the Way of the Cross and baroque sculptures from the mid-19th century. In the Technical Museum - part of the Těšinsk Museum, there is a unique exhibition of the history of tram transport in Karvinsk.
