STATUTORY CITY OF OSTRAVA Beautiful Pole.
The first written evidence of this village is from 1424.
However, the village was founded much earlier, probably already at the time of early colonization or its reverberation in the 13th century. The source of livelihood of the Krásno Pole population was agriculture until the last century. More and more people found jobs in newly established mines and factories.
The village was based on the Munich agreement October 9, 1938 annexed to Nazi Germany and incorporated into the so-called Sudeten County in the government district Opava.Byla liberated after heavy fighting by the Red Army April 26, 1945.
The beautiful field was connected to the local railway Svinov Kyjovice in 1926. The bus service to Ostrava was introduced only in 1955. The village was connected to Ostrava on April 26, 1976.

Sights:
Church of st. Hedviky - patrons of Silesia:
 - in May 1993 the foundation stone of the church was consecrated and from
   construction began in the second half of 1995
 - stands in the middle of the village and serves not only for the church
   meeting
 - The basic decoration is a ceramic relief depicting
   patron saint - saint Hedwig
 - six-year effort by the citizens of Krásný Pole during construction
   Church, was awarded by Bishop František Václav
   Lobkowicz during the consecration on 20.10.2001.

Places of interest - cultural monuments:

 - Chapel - Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic by decision of
   29.5.2008 proclaimed the chapel in Krásno Pole, Družební Street,
   as a cultural monument.

In 2010, the book V Krasnym polu na kopečku was published by Zdeněk Bajgar.

A new orange sports ground was opened in the premises of the Primary School in 2008. In June 2009 the entire section of the Ostrava - Poruba - Krásné Pole - Velká Polom cycle path was put into operation.
Johann Palysa Observatory and Planetarium are located in the Krásná Pole cadastre.
