The town of Štíty, with a rich history dating back to 1278, lies at the foot of the Eagle Mountains and the Jeseníky Mountains. It is located on the imaginary border between Moravia and Bohemia.
The picturesque town in the Šumperk district has over two thousand inhabitants and is an attractive place for hikers, tourists and skiers. The hiking and cycling routes in Štítec will take you through the unspoiled nature of the Březná Nature Park, through villages with traditional folk architecture as well as blooming meadows and forests full of mushrooms. You can use the tennis courts or try acrobatic jumps on skis from the bridge into the water in the sports complex of Olympic winner Aleš Valenta - in the Acrobat Park. Cross-country trails and nearby ski areas offer countless possibilities for fans of winter sports. In short, Štítecko is a real paradise for active rest.
Among the important cultural and sports events is the traditional Štítecký fair, which takes place on the last Saturday in May. The well-known KELLY'S RAMPUŠÁK cycle marathon is usually held on the last Saturday in June. At the end of June, there is also a musical performance by popular bands and performers at the Meeting on the border of Bohemia and Moravia event. During the summer holidays, Acrobat Park is alive with athletes from around the world competing. And in mid-August we have a pilgrimage in Štíty.
Come to Štíte and be welcomed!
