Obec Jindrichov

c. 78, Jindrichov 788 23
The village of Jindřichov near Šumperk was founded in 1953 and has been part of the Šumperk district since that date, although the name Jindřichov first appears at the end of 1862. This is evidenced by a document submitted to the then c.k. to the district office in Vizmberk (now Loučná) dated 25/11/1862 and settlement of the district office dated 10/12/1862. That was the name of the small settlement around the paper mill, which began to be built in the place of the water mill that year.
The village was created by merging the settlement of Pleče (part of the village of Habartice), the entire village of Pusté Žibřidovice with the settlements of Pekařov and Sklenná, parts of Hanušovice, Vikantic and Nový Losin. Each of these parts has its own history. In 1968, Habartice was added to Jindřichov, and in 1976, the remaining part of Nové Losiny with the settlements of Labe and Františkové.
