Loštice - a beautiful town in central Moravia, situated at the northernmost tip of Haná, in the foothills of the Jeseníky Mountains at an altitude of 260 m.

The town is known from the history of pottery - the production of "Loštice Cups", which were used in almost the whole of Central Europe in the 15th and 16th centuries.

Currently, there are over 3, 000 inhabitants in the city engaged in production in various sectors of the woodworking and metalworking industries and agriculture. The most important product is the production of “Loštice curd cheese” (so-called “Olomoucké syrečky”), which with their characteristic aroma and special taste is a favorite delicacy of all gourmets.

The city is also known for its rich cultural life. The city has over 30 associations and interest organizations. The amateur theater and the performance of domestic musical ensembles have more than 100 years of tradition here. The most important social event of the town, which is gradually gaining its tradition, is the "Festival of Music and Cheese", from sports it is the tourist "Wandering to Loštický Tvarůžky".

 

Loštice is an ideal starting point for hiking and cycling trips.
