The village of Mrsklesy is located at an altitude of 250 - 380 m above sea level, about 10 km east of the city of Olomouc, in the southwestern foothills of the Oder Highlands, on the border of the Libavá military area. The settlement of Mrsklesy is first mentioned in the available sources in 1364 and for a long time it belonged to the Velkóbystřice estate.
The northern edge of the cadastre is adjacent to the village of Hlubočky, to the west by the town of Velká Bystřice and to the south by the village of Přáslavice.
It consists of 174 family houses with 603 inhabitants, 1/3 of them in the Kovákov district. It has existed as an independent municipality since 1996, when it was separated from the city of Velká Bystřice.
