The village of Dubčany.
Outside the hustle and bustle of the main roads and within reach of the railway that crosses Hana, lies the charming village of Dubčany. It is not easy to find, but we can do it if we turn slightly off the road between Senica and Unčovice. The name of the village is a reminder of the ancient inhabitants, Dubčany. They were actually the inhabitants of dubisk (places where oak bushes or oaks grew). Today, however, not much remains of the original oaks, and the village is almost entirely surrounded by fields, which here and there add variety to charming draws.

At first glance, we are struck by the fact that the village has an atypical village shape. In contrast to the "street" type, ordinary Haná villages form a circle. This arrangement of houses has an Old Slavic origin, and historians speak of the Old Slavic round. The entrance between the circular buildings on the north side of the village is still called the Gate.

Back in the 19th century, grunts in Dubčany had typical protrusions called "žudry", which are brick arches in the front of houses. While in other villages (e.g. Příkaze) this decorative and purposeful element was preserved, here in the 20th century it disappeared at the hands of insensitive innovators.

A church stands in the middle of the trees in a village full of greenery. Among the cultural monuments of the village, we can mention the column of the Virgin Mary Immaculate, the chapel of St. Isidore from 1869 and the statue of St. Jan Nepomucký.

Local residents have close ties to the village of Cholinu, and several young people from Dubčany are today members of a folklore group called Cholinka.

One kilometer from the village there is a railway stop on the route Červenka – Senice na Hané.
