Gravity winery VILAVIN manages 27 hectares of its own vineyards in the famous wine villages of Novosedly and Dobré Pole. VILAVIN has 18 vineyards on three hills divided into seven vineyard tracks with different subsoil, each of which offers a characteristic expression – terroir.
We grow a total of 8 varieties: Chardonnay, Pálava, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Zweigeltrebe, Gewurtztraminer and Grüner Veltliner.
We use gravity, which is an ancient concept, is still highly relevant for premium wineries and also brings significant energy savings. The winemaking equipment, which is spread over six technological floors including the underground, is designed so that gravity alone – a source of clean energy – is sufficient to transport from the berry, through the mash, the fermented mash, the must, the clarified must, the young wine, all the way to the mature finished wine with the most subtle natural movement.
