MAS PODBRDSKO, z.s. is a local action group based in Hvožďany, which brings together citizens, non-profit organizations, entrepreneurs and public authorities of municipalities with the aim of obtaining and effective redistribution of subsidies for rural development and improving the quality of life in the areas of Milínsko, Březnicko, Rožmitálsko and Hvožďanska.
The LAG comprises 37 towns and villages with over 18, 000 inhabitants from:
- Milínsko
- Březnicko
- Rožmitálsko
- Hvizdsko
The objective of supporting the rural region and the LAG's activities is to:
- Improving the quality of life in areas outside large cities
- Improving the rural environment
- Effective distribution of subsidies received
To develop the rural region, the LAG uses:
- Available subsidies provided by EU Structural Funds and national programs
- Supporting agriculture, regional business activities, social services and safe transport
- Educating children in a playful way and by participating in suburban camps by informing the adult population
- Supporting the Podbrdy Farm and Craft Markets
