The first written record of the village dates back to 1353. Among the most famous owners of Rymice was Albrecht of Wallenstein. In the middle of the 19th century, one of the first sugar mills in Moravia was built in the village. About 1, 400 q of sugar were cooked annually, which produced 40, 000 q of sugar beet. Later in 1958 the sugar factory disappeared.
The dominant feature of the village is a fortress from the second half of the 16th century, the church. Bartholomew, school building built in 1893.
The village has less than 600 inhabitants. There is a primary and nursery school, museum Rymice, windmill, groceries. The Municipal Office building has a Bistro, where various celebrations can be organized.
