The Union of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Persons in the Czech Republic was established on 8 May 1990 as a non-profit civic association, registered under the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic under file no. VSP / 1-134 / 90-R and has nationwide coverage. It unites about 4, 000 members with various hearing impairments in its 55 subsidiary associations. The Association of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Persons in the Czech Republic, z. S. Is a provider of interpreting services through the Center for Mediation of Interpreting for the Deaf, which provides nationwide interpreting services for the deaf. The Association of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Persons in the Czech Republic, z. S. Supports the fulfillment of the rights of persons with hearing impairments in the Czech Republic and provides counseling and preventive services. We also support the provision of information and communication accessibility. At the same time, the association also organizes and carries out educational, cultural, social and other activities that serve the needs and interests of people with hearing impairments.
