The company AKORD was established in 1992 and in 2018 it was transformed from a natural person AKORD – Ing. Lubomír Luks to the legal entity AKORD K s.r.o.
Our production program mainly deals with the casting of brass, bronze and aluminum in sand moulds. Due to the capacity of the gas melting furnace, the maximum weight of the casting is 50 kg for aluminum and 150 kg for brass and bronze.
We are able to process the castings according to the customer's requirements or to carry out other custom work.
We perform machining up to a diameter of 1, 100 mm and a length of 2, 750 mm on classic lathes or up to a diameter of 1, 500 per carousel, welding, milling, flat and round grinding, grooving and other activities.
Furthermore, our services include the production of new housings with bearing compositions, as well as the repair and overhaul of damaged linings, or the repair, renovation, overhaul and production of new water turbines.
Our products find application especially for other uses in engineering - such as worm gear wheels, water turbine blades, bearing housings, nuts, covers, beams, valve bodies, gearboxes, valve bodies, and other structural elements.
Part of the production program consists of supplies of atypical brass fittings mainly for reconstructed heritage buildings.
